width = z

length = 2z

Perimeter = 2( z +2z )

60. = 2 x 3z

60 / 2 = 3z

30 / 3. = z

10 = z

so ,

Length = 10 ft

Breadth = 2 x 10 = 20 ft.

\textbf{\underline{\underline{Answer :-}}}

The area of the Rectangle is 200 sq.foot.

\textbf{\underline{\underline{Explanation :-}}}

\textsf{\underline{\underline{Given : }}}

The Length of Rectangle = twice its width

Perimeter of Rectangle = 60 feet.

\textsf{\underline{\underline{To find :}}}

Its area

\textsf{\underline{\underline{Solution :}}}

Consider the width as x

Consider the Length as 2x

★ Perimeter of Rectangle =

\boxed{\sf{2(Length+Breadth)}}

\sf{\implies} \: 2(x + 2x) = 60

\sf{\implies} \: 2x + 4x = 60

\sf{\implies} \: 6x = 60

\sf{\implies} \: x =  \dfrac{60}{6}

\sf{\implies} \: x = 10

{\boxed{\sf{x = 10}}}

Value of 2x

\sf{\implies} \: 2 \times 10

\sf{\implies} \: 20

\boxed{\sf{Length = 20}}

\boxed{\sf{Breadth = 10}}

★ Area of Rectangle :

\boxed{\sf{Length \times Breadth}}

\sf{\implies} \: 20 \times 10

\sf{\implies} \:200

\sf{\implies} \:200 \: sq.foot

\therefore The area of the Rectangle is 200 sq.foot.
