Let the length be 'L' and breadth be 'B'.

From the question, we can say that:

L=2B ----> Eq. 1

We know that the perimeter of a rectangle is:

2(L+B)

Hence,

2(L+B) = 156

On substituting value of L from eq.1,

2(2B+B) = 156

2(3B) = 156

B = 156/6

B = 26 units.

Hence,

L = 2(26)

L = 52

So the dimensions of the rectangle are 52 and 26 units.
