Answer:

Let the length of the rectangle be l and breadth be b

therefore, l= 2b

It is given that perimeter of the rectangle is 48cm

we know that

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(l+b)

According to the Question

2(l+b) = perimeter

Or 2(2b+b)=48

Or 2(3b) = 48

Or 6b= 48

Or b= 48÷6

Or b= 8

Therefore length= 2×b= 2×6 = 12cm

Therefore length of the rectangle= 12cm breadth= 6cm
