the length of a rectangle is twice of its breadth if its perimeter is 48. find the dimensions of the rectangle

Let meet of ratio of dimensions be x.

Means length be 2x and Breadth be x.

=) P = 2(l+b)

=) 48m = 2(2x+x)

=) 48m = 2*3x

=) 48m = 6x

=) 48m/6 = x

=) 8m.

Hence length = 2*8m
= 16m

And Breadth = 1*8m
= 8m.
