Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter=2 (l+b)=54

B=x

L=2x

2 (x+2x)= 54

2x+4x=54

6x=54

X=54/6=9

Breadth=9

Length=9×2=18

Given :-

The length of a rectangle is twice it's breadth and it's perimeter is 54 cm

To Find :-

Length and Breadth of Rectangle

Solution :-

Let the,

Breadth of Rectangle be 'x'cm

Then,

Length of Rectangle = 2x cm

Now,

Perimeter of Rectangle = 54 cm

We know that,

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b)

So,

2(l + b) = 54

(l + b) = 54/2

2x + x = 27

3x = 27

x = 27/3 = 9

Hence,

Length of Rectangle = 2x = 2×9 = 18cm

Breadth of Rectangle = x = 9 cm
