Let width be b

Length is twice of width = 2b

According to problem:-

2(l+b) = 20

=> 2l + 2b = 20

=> 4b + b = 20

=> 5b = 20

Therefore b = 4cm

Hope it helps :)

Answer:

the width is 3.33 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

consider x be width

As the length of a rectangle is twice the width

length = 2x

perimeter of rectangle =20 cm

2 × x +2×2x =20 cm

2( x+2x) =20 cm

( x+2x) =10

3x = 10

x= 10÷3

x=3.33 cm
