Step-by-step explanation:

Let the width of the rectangle be ' x cm '.

Then, it's length will 2 and a 1/2 times of x.

So, it's length = 5/2 of x

= 5/2x

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length+breadth)

=> 84 cm = 2(5/2x + x)

=> 84 cm= 2(5x + 2x/2)

=> 84 cm = 2 × 7x/2

=> 84 cm = 7x

Therefore, x = 84/7

= 12 cm

So, Width of rectangle = x

= 12 cm

And, Length of rectangle = 5x/2

= 5 × 12cm/2

= 60/2

= 30 cm

Hope it helps :)
