Answer:

Given:-

  • Length of rectangle is two times of it's breadth.
  • perimeter of rectangle is 60cm

Find:-

  • Length of rectangle

Solution:-

Let take breadth of rectangle as x

So, length of rectangle is 2x

Perimeter of rectangle = 60

{ \boxed{ \sf{perimeter  \: of \:  \: rectangle= 2(l + b)}}}

➝2(L+B) = 60

➝2(2x+x) = 60

➝4x+2x = 60

➝6x = 60

➝ x = 60/6

➝x = 10

Breadth of rectangle = x = 10cm

Length of rectangle = 2x = 2(10) = 20cm

let the breadth be x cm .

according to the question

length = 2x

perimeter = 2(length+breadth ) = 2(l+b)

60= 2(2x+x )

60 = 2×3x

6x = 60

x= 10cm

hence the breadth is 10cm and length is 2x = 20cm
