Given:-

  • Rectangle's length is 2 times its width.
  • The perimeter of rectangle is 84 m.

To Find:-

Length of rectangle.

Solution:-

Let width be 'x'

Let length be '2x'

So,

Perimeter of rectangle= \scriptsize\boxed{2(length + bredth)}

= 84 metres

84 metres = 2 (x + 2x)

84 metres = 2*3x

84/2 = 3x

42 = 3x

x = 42/3

x = 14

2x = 14×2 = 28

\therefore The bredth of rectangle is 14 and length of rectangle is 28.
