Given

\blue\star Length of rectangle = x

\blue\starBreadth of rectangle = x + 6

\blue\starperimeter of rectangle = 60m

\blue\starAlso perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+b)

To Find

\blue\star length=?

\blue\star Breadth = ?

Acc to question

\implies2(L+b) = 60

\implies2(x+x+6) = 60

\implies2(2x+6) = 60

\implies2x+6 = \cancel\dfrac{60}{2}

\implies2x+6= 30

\implies2x = 24

\impliesx = \cancel\dfrac{24}{2}

\implies\purple{x = 12}

★The length of rectangle = x = 12

★The breadth of rectangle = (x+6) = 18

Answer:

therefore the breadth of rectangle is 12 m

and the length = 12 + 6 = 18 m

Step-by-step explanation:

question -

the length of a rectangle is 6 metres more than its breadth. the perimeter of the rectangle is 60 metres . find the length and breadth of the rectangle.

solution -

let the breadth be x

so, the length = 6 + x

perimeter is equal to 60m

by the question,

perimeter = 2 ( length + breadth )

60 = 2 ( 6+ x + x)

60= 2 ( 6 + 2x )

60 = 12 + 4 x

60- 12 = 4x

48 = 4 x

48÷ 4 = x

12 = x

x= 12

therefore , the breadth of rectangle is 12 m

and the length = 12 + 6 = 18 m

I hope its help you...
