let the breadth be x

here as per the question.....

length is 4m more than breadth

I.e.length=x+4

now....as we know perimeter of rectangle=160m

perimeter=2(length+breadth)

160m=2(x+4+x)

160m=2(2x+4)

160m=4x+8

160m-8=4x

152m=4x

152/4=x

38m=x

therefore...x=38m

x+4=38+4=42m

i hope this will help

Answer:it's as follows

Step-by-step explanation

Let the breadth be x

And length be x+4

Perimeter= 2(L + B)

160m= 2(x + x+4) m

160m= 2×(2x+4)

160/2= 2x+4

80= 2x +4

80-4=2x

76=2x

38=x

Hence, Breadth=38m

And Length=(38+4)=42m

This may help you
