let rectangular room's width x and length x+6
now area of room =x (x+6)
=x^2+6x
a/c each dimension increases by 2 meter
so, area of new room=area of old room+64m^2
(x+2 )(x+8)=x (x+6)+64
10x+16=6x+64
x=12
so, length 18 meter and width 12 meter
