Let the breadth be x meters

According to question,

length of rectangle = twice the breadth

i.e. 2x

Perimeter of rectangle = Length + Breadth + Length + Breadth or 2(length + breadth)

= 2(2x+x)

= 2(3x)

= 6x

The questions states that perimeter is 62/5

therefore 6x = 62/5

x = 62/30 [We got our breadth]

length = 2x [we got x = 62/30]

length = 2*62/30

length = 124/30 meters

Area of rectangle = Length*Breadth

= 124/30 * 62/30

= 8.64 sq.meters (approx)
