The area if rectangle is l×b

let length be x

breadth=x+3

Area is 70cm²

Therefore,

x(x+3)=70

x²+3x=70

x²+3x-70=0

factarisation

x²+10x-7x-70=0

x (x+10)-7(x+10)=0

(x+10)(x-7)=0

x+10=0!!!!x-7=0

x=-10!!!x=7
