The length of a rectanglular playground is twice its width. The perimeter is 30. Find its dimension.

Let the Breadth of Rectangular field be X .

Length of rectangular field = 2X.

Perimeter of Rectangular field = 30

2( L + B) = 30

2 ( 2X + X) = 30

6X = 30

X = 30/6

X = 5 cm or m

Breadth = X = 5

and,

Length = 2X = 2 × 5 = 10 cm or m


HENCE,


Length and Breadth of Rectangular field is 5 and 10 cm or m.

Let the breadth be x


the length be 2x


Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

30 = 2(x+2x)

30/2 = 3x

15 = 3x

x = 5


breadth = 5

length = 5×2

= 10
