The length of a rectangular exceeds it's width by 8cm and the area of the rectangle is 240 sq. Cm. Find the dimensions of the rectangle.

Answer:

let the breadth be x

Lenght is equal to x + 8

So,x+x+8 = 240 sq. cm

2x = 232

x = 232/2

x = 116 cm

Therefore breadth = 116cm

lenght = 124cm
