Solution :—

Given :—

Area of rectangular field =147 sq.m

To find :—

Length & bredth

Length = l & bredth =b

By 1 st condition

Area of rectangular field = l × b

147 = l × b......1

By 2nd condition

l = 3b.......2

Using the 2nd equation in 1st equation

147 = (3b) \times (b) \\ 147 = 3 {b}^{2}  \\  \frac{147}{3}  =  {b}^{2}  \\ 49 =  {b}^{2}  \\ b = 7.....taking \: sq.root \\

Using value of b in equation 2

l = 3b

l = 3 × b

l = 3 × 7 = 21

Length of rectangular field is 21m

Bredth of rectangular field is 7m

Answer:

• The length of the rectangular field is 21 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

• Area of rectangular field = 147 sq. m

• Length of the rectangular field = 3 times its breadth.

To Find :

The length of the rectangular field.

Formula used :

\huge{\boxed{Area \:  \: of \:  \: rectangle = Length × Breadth}}

Solution :

Let the breadth be x

Let the length be 3x

A. T. Q,

Area of rectangle = 3x × x

147 = 3x²

49 = x²

\boxed{\pink{x = 7}}
