The length of a rectangular field is 3 times its breadth if the perimeter of the rectangle is 56 m. find the length and breadth.

hey friend here is your answer
let the length of rectangular field be X and breadth be Y
according the question X=3Y
and
2(X +Y)=56
=X+Y=28
upon solving we get
Y=7 and X=21

let the breadth of the rectangle=x

then the length of the rectangle=3x

∴according to problem

2(3x+x)=56

56 = 2 (4x)

56 = 8x  

x = 56/8

x = 7

⇒  hence,the breadth=7cm

         the length=3 x 7cm=21 cm
