Now, a/c to given data;

• Perimeter of the field = 492 m

Now, by formula of perimeter of rectangle;

➜ Perimeter of the field = 2 {L + B}

➜ 492 = 2 {B + 48 + B}

➜ 492 = 2 {2B + 48}

➜ 492 = 4B + 96

➜ 4B = 492 - 96

➜ 4B = 396

➜ B = 396/4

➜ B = 99 m

Now, put value of B in eq. {1}

➜ Length of the field, L = B + 48

➜ Length of the field, L = 99 + 48

➜ Length of the field, L = 147 m

Answer : Hence, the length of the rectangular field is 147 m.
