Step-by-step explanation:

Let breadth be x then,

length= 6x=120 cm

x=120/6

x=20

therefore length = 20

so, perimeter of rectangular field = 2(l+b)

=2(120+20)

=2(140)

=280 cm

Answer:

Given :

\textsf{Length of the rectangular field = 120 cm}

\textsf{Breadth is 6 times of its length }

To find :

\textsf{(i) Breadth}

\textsf{(ii) Perimeter}

Concept :

Let the Breadth be x

To find the perimeter of the rectangular field . First find the Breadth of the rectangular field.

To find divide the length with 6 .

\sf{6x=120cm}

\sf{x=\dfrac{120cm}{6}}

\sf{x=20cm}

So , the Breadth of the rectangular field is 20 cm . To find the perimeter of the rectangular field use this formula.

\sf{\boxed{P=2(L+B)}}

Solution :

\sf{\implies{P=2(120cm+20cm)}}

\sf{\implies{P=2\times140cm}}

\sf{\implies{P=280cm}}

Answer :

So , the breadth of the rectangular field is 20 cm .

And the perimeter of the rectangular field is 280 cm .
