Heya !!

Let breadth of rectangular park be X m.

Length = (2X - 8 ) m

Perimeter of rectangular park = 56

2 ( L + B ) = 56

2 ( 2X - 8 + X ) = 56

3X - 8 = 28

3X = 36

X = 36/3 = 12 m

Breadth of rectangular park = X = 12 m

And,

Length of rectangular park = 2X - 8 = 2 × 12 - 8 = 22 - 8 = 16 m.

Hope it will help you :-)

Let the breadth of the field be x m.
Then, Length of the field = (2x-8) m
Perimeter of rectangle (given) = 56m
Formula of perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
So, we need to equalise the perimeter of rectangle (given) and it's formula.
2(l+b) = 56
2(2x-8+x) = 56
2x+x = 56-8
3x = 48
x = 48÷6 = 8
Therefore, Length of the rectangle = 2x-8 = (2×8)-2= 16-2 = 14m
Breadth of rectangle = x = 8m
