The length of a rectangular field is 8 meters less than twice its breadth. Ifthe perimeter of
the rectangular field is 56 meters, find its length and breadth?​

Answer:

Breadth = x

length = given length of a rectangular field is 8 meters less than twice its breadth

length = 2x - 8

perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b) = 56m

2( 2x -8 + x)

2( 3x -8) = 56m

6x - 16 =56

6x = 56 +16

6x = 72cm

x = 72/6 => 12cm

hence breadth = 12cm

and length = 2*12-8= 24-8 => 16cm
