Step-by-step explanation:

Let length and breadth the field are l and b respectively. Then,

l=2b−8⇒2b=8+l⟶(1)

The perimeter of the rectangular field =56 m

⇒2(l+b)=56m⇒2l+2b=56m

from (1), we get

2l+8+l=56⇒3l=48⇒l=16m

∴ Length of rectangular field =16m

Breadth of rectangular field = 2/16+8 =12m

Answer:

length = 18m

breadth = 13m

Step-by-step explanation:

according to question,

length = 2 × breadth - 8m

let's ,

breadth = x m

then ,

length = 2x - 8 m

perimeter = 56m ( given)

perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth)

56 = 2 ( 2x - 8 + x )

56 = 2( 2x + x - 8 )

56 = 2 ( 3x - 8 )

56/ 2 = 3x - 8

28 = 3x - 8

28 + 8 = 3x

36 = 3x

36/3 = x

13 = x

hence, x = 13

length = 2x - 8m

= 2 ×13 - 8m

= 26 - 8m

= 18m

breadth = x m

= 13 m
