ɢɪᴠᴇɴ :-

ᴘᴇʀɪᴍᴇᴛᴇʀ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴇᴄᴛᴀɴɢʟᴇ = ᴘᴇʀɪᴍᴇᴛᴇʀ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ sǫᴜᴀʀᴇ

\implies\small{2\times(L+B) = 4\times side}

⇒ 2×(8+2)m = 4×side

⇒ 2×10 m = 4×side

\implies\small{ side = \frac{2\times 10}{4}m = 5m }

Area of the rectangular block = length×breadth

⇒ 8m×2m = \small{16 m^2}

Let, the side of square is A.

∴ Area of square = \small{A^2 = (5m)^2 = 25m^2}

Square field area has the greater than the rectangular field area.

Answer:

20m

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of rectangular field=perimeter of square field

2(8m+2m)=perimeter of square field

perimeter=20m

side of square field=20m/4=5m
