Given:

Length of rectangular field is thrice its breadth.

Perimeter = 560 m

To Find:

Length of rectangular field.

Solution:

Let the breadth be x

Length 3x (As length is thrice of breadth)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length+Breadth)

⇝2(3x + x) = 560

⇝2(4x) = 560

⇝8x = 560

⇝x = 560÷8

⇝x = 70

Now finding Length:-

Length= 3x

Length= 3×70

Length= 210 m

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Length of rectangular field= 210m

Breadth of rectangular field= 70m

Question

the length of a rectangular field is thrice its breadth if its perimeter is 560m, then its length is

Answer

Given data:-

  • ⇒Perimeter of rectangle = 560m

To find:-

  • Length = ?

Solution:-

  • Let,
  • ⇒Breathe = x
  • ⇒Length = 3x
  • As we know that
  • ⇒Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( L + B )
  • ⇒ 560 = 2 ( L + B )
  • ⇒ 560 = 2 ( 3x + x )
  • ⇒ 560 = 2 ( 4x )
  • ⇒ 560/2 = 4x
  • ⇒ 280 = 4x
  • ⇒ 280/4 = x
  • ⇒ 70 = x
  • ⇒ x = 70

Now,put values in the 3x.

  • ⇒ 3x
  • ⇒ 3 ( 70 )
  • 210m Ans
