answer :

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the Breadth of rectangular field be x meters.

• G i v e n t h a t :

The Length of a rectangular field is thrice it's Breadth..

⇢ Length = 3 × Breadth

⇢ Length= 3x

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

☆ P e r i m e t e r :

» Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

➟ 40 = 2(3x + x)

➟ 40 = 2(4x)

➟ 40 = 8x

➟ x = ⁴⁰⁄₈

➟ x = 5

Breadth of rectangular field, x = 5 m

Length of rectangular field, 3x = 3(5) = 15 m

∴ Dimensions of the field are 5 meters & 15 meters respectively.

☆ A r e a⠀O f⠀F i e l d :

⇥ Area = Length × Breadth

⇥ Area = 15 m × 5 m

⇥ Area = 75 m²

∴ The Area of the rectangular field is 75 m².
