and breadth be y
perimeter of rectangle=2(length + breadth)
160=2(x+y)
2x+2y=160
Also length is thrice the breadth
x=3y
put it in eq 1
2(3y)+2y=160
8y=160
y=20
put y=20 in eq 2
x=3y
x=3(20)
x=60
