Given,

  • The length of a rectangular field is thrice of it's breadth.
  • The perimeter of the field is 300m.

To find,

  • The length of the field.
  • The breadth of the field.

Solution,

      Let the breadth be x m.

      So, length = 3x m.

      According to condition,

      2(x+3x) = 300

      or, 2×4x = 300

      or, 8x = 300

      or, x = 300/8

      or, x = 37.5

So,

  • Breadth = x m = 37.5 m.
  • Length = 3x m = (3×37.5) m = 112.5 m.

Hence,

  • The length of the field is 112.5 m.
  • The breadth of the field is 37.5 m.

Answer:

Breath= x

Length =3x

perimeter = 2(length + breath )

perimeter = 2( x + 3x ) =300

2(4x) = 300

8x= 300

x= 300/8

x= 37.5

length = 112.5

breath = 37.5
