Given :

  • Length of a rectangular field is thrice of its breadth .
  • Perimeter of the field is 300 metres .

To Find :

  • Length and Breadth of the field .

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:Breadth\:be=x}

As Given that Length of a rectangular field is thrice of its breadth . So ,

\longmapsto\tt{Length=3x}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Perimeter\:of\:Rectangle=2(l+b)}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{300=2(3x+x)}

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{300}{2}=4x}

\longmapsto\tt{150=4x}

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{150}{4}=x}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{37.5=x}

Value of x is 37.5 .

Therefore :

\longmapsto\tt{Breadth\:of\:Rectangle=x}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{37.5\:m}

\longmapsto\tt{Length\:of\:Rectangle=3(37.5)}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{112.5\:m}

Given :-

The  length of a rectangular field is thrice of its breadth the perimeter of the field is 300 metres

To Find :-

Length and breadth

Solution :-

Let the breadth be b and length be 3b

2(l + b) = 300

2(3b + b) = 300

6b + 2b = 300

8b = 300

b = 300/8

b = 37.5 m

Now finding length

Length = 3(37.5)

Length = 112.5 m
