The length of a rectangular field is twice it's breadth. If the perimeter of the field is 228 meters, find the dimensions of the field​

B=2x

x+2x=228

3x=228

x=228/3

x=76

L=76

B=152

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x,

Length= 2x

perimeter = 2(l + b)

228 = 2(2x + x) \\ \frac{228}{2}  = 2x + x \\ 114 = 3x \\  \frac{114}{3}  = x \\ 38  = x

So the breadth of the rectangle is 38m.

Length= 2x= 2*38= 76m

The dimensions are 76m and 38m.
