The length of a rectangular field is twice it's breadth .if the perimeter of the field is 150 meters, find its length and breadth

let the length be "l"

the the breadth is "l/2"

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

150=2(l+l/2)

150/2=3l/2

150=3l

l=50m

so the length of the field is 50m and breadth is 25m

Let the breath be x,then

Length=2x

But perimeter given=150

So perimeter of rectangle2(l+b)

Apply the formula

◆2(2x+x) =150


◆2×3x=150


◆6x=150


◆x=25


So length =25

Breath=2x

=2 ×25

=50
