Answer:-

Let the Breadth of the field be x m.

Given:

Length is twice the breadth.

→ length of the field = 2 * x = 2x m.

And,

Perimeter of the field = 240 m.

We know that,

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)

Hence,

→ 240 = 2 (2x + x)

→ 240 = 2 (3x)

→ 240 = 5x

→ 240/5 = x

→ 48 = x

Breadth (x) = 48 m

Length = 2x = 2*48 = 96 m.

Therefore, the dimensions of the field are 96 m , 48 m.

Information related to a rectangle:-

  • Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (length + breadth )

  • Area of a rectangle = length * breadth.

  • Opposite sides of a rectangle are equal and parallel.

  • Each angle of a rectangle is equal to 90°.

  • Sum of all the four angles of a rectangle (Quadrilateral) = 360°.
