Answer:

length = 76 m

breadth = 38 m

Step-by-step explanation:

length = 2 (breadth)

perimeter = 2(l + b)

228 = 2(2b + b)

228 = 6b

b = 38 m

length = 2 * 38

= 76 m

Dimensions of rectangular field are:-

  • Length is 76 m.
  • Breadth is 38 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find:-

  • Dimensions of field.

Solution:-

Given that,

  • Length of rectangular field is twice it's Breadth.
  • Field is in rectangular field.
  • Perimeter of rectangular field is 228 m.

Let, Breadth of rectangular field be x.

And, Length of rectangular field is 2x.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

➝ 228 = 2(2x + x)

➝ 228 = 4x + 2x

➝ 228 = 6x

➝ 228/6 = x

➝ 38 = x

Or,➝ x = 38

Verification:-

➝ 288 = 2(2x + x)

  • Put x = 38

➝ 228 = 2(2 × 38 + 38)

➝ 228 = 2(76 + 38)

➝ 228 = 152 + 76

➝ 228 = 228

Hence, Verified!!

Dimensions are:

We have taken, Breadth be x. Thus, Breadth of rectangular field is 38 m.

We have also taken, Length be 2x = 2×38 = 76. So, Length of rectangular field is 76 m.
