Answer:

Let the breadth of the rectangle = x metres.

According to the question,

Length of the rectangle = 2x metres

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)

=2(2x+x)=294

6x=294

x=294/6

x=49

breadth =49

So, the breadth of the rectangle = x = 49

The length of the rectangle = 2x

= 2(49)

=98

length =98
