The length of a rectangular field is twice its breadth. If the perimeter of the field is 150
metres, find its length and breath ​

Answer:

Let breadth be x and length be 2x

B = x

L = 2x

P = 150 m

perimeter = 2(l+b)

150 = 2(x+2x)

150 = 2(3x)

\frac{150}{2} = 3x

75 = 3x

\frac{75}{3} = x

25 = x

∴ b = x = 25m

∴ l = 2x = 25 x 2 = 50m

PROOF:-

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

                = 2(25+50)

                = 2(75)

                =150m
