let breadth of field is X

so its length will be 2X given, perimeter of field is 288 m ----(1)

we know that

perimeter of rectangle =2(length +breadth) ----(2)

combine (1) and (2)

2(2X+X) = 288

4X+2X = 288 X = 288÷6

6X = 288

X = 48

so breadth of field is 48 m

its length is 2X = 2×48 = 96 m
