let breadth be x
let length be 2x
now perimeter = 2(length +breadth)
= 2(x+2x) = 2(3x) =6x
now
6x = 150
x= 150/6=25
so breadth = 25m
and length = 50m

Let the constant be x

Let the breadth be x metre

Given, length is twice the breadth.

Let the length be 2x metre

Given, perimeter is 150m

We know that, Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l + b)

According to the question,

2(l + b) = Perimeter of reactangle

➾ 2(2x + x) = 150

➾ 4x + 2x = 150

➾ 6x = 150

➾ x = \dfrac{150}{6}

➾ x = 25

∴ Length of the rectangular field ➾ 2x m

➾ 2 × 25

➾ 50m

∴ Breadth of the rectangular field ➾ x m

➾ 25m
