Let the breadth be x m.
and the length be 2x m.
Perimeter of rectangular field = 240 m
2(l + b) = 240 m
2 ( 2x + x ) = 240 m
2 x 3x = 240 m
6x = 240 m
x = 240
6
x = 40
Hence, the breadth of field = x = 40 m
and, the length of field = 2x = 2 x 40 = 80m
