Answer:

Length of floor = 80 m

Step-by-step explanation:

The length of a rectangular floor = L  m

Length is 20 meter more than breadth

=> Length = 20 + Brradth

=> Breadth = L - 20  m

Perimeter of floor = 2 * ( length + Breadth)

= 2 * ( L + L -20)

= 2 (2L -20)

= 4L -40

perimeter given = 280 m

4L - 40 = 280

=> 4L = 320

=> L = 320/4

=> L = 80 m

Length of floor = 80 m

Let the breadth is x

Let the length is x + 20

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B)

280 = 2(x + 20 + x)

140 = 2x + 20

2x = 140 - 20 = 120

x = 120 / 2 = 60

Length = x + 20 = 60 + 20 = 80m

Breadth = x = 60m

Thanks
