Answer:

Given,

Perimeter = 164 cm

let the breadth be x

Then length = 3x

We know that, perimeter = 2 (l + b)

Then, 164 = 2 ( 3x + x)

164 = 2 (4x)

164 = 8x

x = 164/8

x = 20.5

Therefore breadth = 20.5 cm

Length = 20.5 x 3 = 61.5 cm

Answer:

the length of a rectangular frame is 3 times its breadth . so,

length of rectangle = 3(breadth)

perimeter of frame is 164 m so, length and breadth of frame .

perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+b)

164 = 2(3b+b)

164/2 = (3b+b)

82 = (4b)

82/4 = b

20.5 = b

so, rectangles breadth = 82/4=20.5

and length of rectangle = 3(breadth)

= 3(82/4)

= 3(82/4)

= 61.5
