Answer:

Let the breadth be y

Then its lenght=y+8

Perimeter of rectangle=2(lenghth+breadth)=304 (Given)

Now 2(y+y+8)=304

4y+16=304

4y=288

y=72

So breadth=y=72m, length=y+8=80m Ans.

Hope it will help you.

Answer

  • Breadth = 72m
  • Length = 80m

Solution

  • Length of a rectangular garden is 8 m more than its breadth

Let the breadth be x then its length be (x + 8)

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 304 m

Apply formula

→ 2(l + b) = 304

→ 2(x + 8 + x) = 304

→ 2x + 8 = 304/2

→ 2x + 8 = 152

→ 2x = 152 - 8

→ 2x = 144

→ x = 144/2

→ x = 72 m

•°• Breadth of rectangular garden

→ x = 72m

•°• Length of rectangular garden

→ (x + 8) = 80m
