Given: Length of a hall is 3 more than double the breadth and the perimeter is 66m.

To find: The length.

Answer:

Let the breadth be x.

Therefore, length will be 3 + 2x. (3 more than double the breadth)

Formula to find the perimeter: 2(Length + Breadth)

Substituting the values in it,

66 = 2(3 + 2x + x)

66 = 2(3 + 3x)

66 = 6 + 6x

66 - 6 = 6x

60 = 6x

x = 60/6

x = 10

Therefore, the length will be 3 + 2*10 = 3 + 20 = 23m

Hope it helps :)

Equestriadash: The only formula used is Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)
Equestriadash: Substituting the respective values , I found out the length.
