let the breadth of the rectangular hall be 'x', therefore length will be 'x+5'.

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)
74m=2(x+5+x)
74/2=2x+5
37=2x+5
2x=37-5
x=32/2
=16

=>x(breadth)=16m
=>x+5(length)=16+5=21m
