The length of a rectangular is twice its width. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 42m. Then find the Area of the rectangle.​

Answer:

l=2b (given)

perimeter= 2(l+b)

42cm= 2(2b+b)

42cm= 6b

b= 42/6

b=7cm

now,

l=2b

therefore, l=14cm

b= 7cm

area of rectangle= lxb

= 14x7

=98cm2
