side of square= 6

let breadth of rectangle = x

length is = 2*x

perimeter of rectangle =perimeter of square

2*(L+B) = sum of 4 sides

2*(2x+x)= 24

3x= 12

x= 4

breadth = x=4

length = 2x=2*4=8

length of diagonal of rectangle = ?

as we know that angle in rectangle is 90°

by using pythagorous theorm in right angle triangle

AC = diagonal, AB= length,BC= breadth

AC² = AB²+BC²

AC² = 8²+4²

AC² = 64+16 = 80

AC = 4√5 is the length of diagonal
