Given:

✻ Length of rectangular park = 620m

✻ Breadth of rectangular park = 0.5m

Find:

✺ Cost of fencing the park at the rate of ₹8/m

Solution:

➡ we, know that

⇒Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

where,

  • Length = 620m
  • Breadth = 0.5m

So,

⇒Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

⇒Perimeter of rectangle = 2(620 + 0.5)

⇒Perimeter of rectangle = 2(620.5)

⇒Perimeter of rectangle = 1241m

∴ Perimeter of rectangle = 1241m

Now,

⇢Cost of fencing 1m of park = ₹8

⇢Cost if fencing 1241m of park = 8×1241

= ₹9928

Hence, Cost of fencing the park = 9928
