At the center, area of the square formed has to be reduced otherwise it would be counted in the areas of both the paths.

Answer:

200100 sq. m

Step-by-step explanation:

length = 700 m

breadth = 300 m

area of first road = L * B

                            = 700 m * 10 m

                            =7000 sq. m

area of second road = L * B

                                  = 10 m * 300 m

                                  =3000 sq. m

area of roads = 7000 sq. m + 3000 sq. m - (cross roads)

                       = 10000 sq. m - (s * s)

                       = 10000 sq. m - (10 m * 10 m)

                       = 10000 sq. m - 100 sq. m

                       = 9900 sq. m

area of park = L * B

                    = 700 m * 300 m

                    = 210000 sq. m

area of park excluding cross roads = area of park - area of cross roads

                                                          = 210000 sq. m - 9900 sq. m

                                                          = 200100 sq. m
