let the breath be X then length of the rectangular Park is =3x

perimeter of rectangle is =2 (l + b )
2(3x+X)=168
6x+2x=168
8 x =168
X=168÷8
X=21
therefore, breadth=21m
length=3x=3×21= 63

Given :-

  • the length of a rectange is thrice its breadth
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 168m

 \\

To Find :-

  • Length and Breadth of Rectangle

 \\

Solution :-

⟾ Let the Breadth of Rectangle be x

⟾ Then Length of Rectangle will be 3x

According to the Question :

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

➞ 168 = 2 ( 3x + x )

➞ 168 / 2 = 3x + x

➞ 84 = 4x

➞ 84 / 4 = x

➞ 21 = x

________________

Verification :

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (3x + x)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (3 × 21 + 21)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (63 + 21)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 × 84

➞ 168 = 168

Hence Verified

________________

Therefore :

  • Length = 3x = 3 × 21 = 63m
  • Breadth = x = 21m

Additional Info :

Formulas Related to Rectangle:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(l)² + (b)²
