Given:

Length of a rectangular park is thrice its breadth .

• Perimeter of the park is 328m .

To find :

• The dimensions .

Solution :

A/Q

• Let , the breadth of the rectangular park be x and length be 3x .

As we know that :

• Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

Put the given values .

=> 328 = 2 ( 3x + x )

=> 8x = 328

=> x = 328/8

=> x = 41

Hence , the breadth is 41 m .

and

Length = 3x = 3 ( 41) = 123 m .

Let breadth be = x

Then lenght be = 3x

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+B)

Also, Perimeter of given rectangle = 328m

Then,

2(l + b) = 328 \\ 2(3x + x) = 328 \\ = > 2 \times 4x = 328 \\ = > 8x = 328 \\ = > x = \frac{328}{8} \\ = > x = 41m

Hence, Breadth of rectangle = x = 41m

Length of rectangle = 3x = 3 \times 41 = 123m
