let the breadth =×
and the length of rectangle =2×
given , perimeter =300
2(l+b)=300
2(×+2×)=300
2(3×)=300
6×=300
×=300/6
×=50
therefore , the breadth of rectangle =50
and it's length =2×=2×50=100

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -:

  • Length of a rectangular park is twice its breadth
  • Perimeter of a rectangular park = 300m

To Find -:

  • Length and breadth of a rectangular park

Assuming -:

Let us assume breadth as x

Then,

Length = 3x

Explanation -:

 \small \boxed{\rm \underline{Perimeter = 2(Length + breadth) }}

 \small\rm{2(2x + x) = 300}

 ⤍\small\rm{2(3x) =300 }

⤍ \small\rm{6x = 300}

⤍ \small\rm{x =  \frac{300}{6}  = 50}

 \small \boxed{\rm{ x = 50}}

Length = 2x = 2 × 50 = 100m

Breadth = x = 50m

Verification -:

Perimeter = 2(Length + breadth)

→ 2(100 + 50)

→ 2(150)

→ 300m

Hence, proved.
